With new owners this dated Uplands home saw a compete renovation including the help of the Costa team. The owners goal was to modernize the look and maximize the space to suit their taste and needs. With a southern facing front yard the customers wanted to take advantage of the sunny area and have a warm, inviting front patio space as well as backyard.
After discussing their ideas with the customer our team laid out designs and began the process. The team worked hand in hand with the building contractor during the initial stage to excavate and prepare all of the areas.
The first step began with transplanting all of the existing plants into newly created and freshly cultivated garden beds so they would be well taken care during the landscaping stage. The landscaping began with scraping the entire area to allow for a clean start. Road base was then brought in and compacted in the required areas, including the deck, patio and new stairs.
The custom patio was formed using cut stone basalt pavers and the back yard area, using Abbotsford pavers. As with any complete make-over a new lawn was installed, featuring locally sourced sod. Vegetable boxes were built by our in house carpenter to allow the family to grow their greens all year around. To keep the pests from their harvests our carpenter also erected a custom fence, complete with a gate. A slate pathway, made from hand picked pieces was put in place and a patio for entertaining.
Still to come for this property? A greenhouse, homed on the gravel area installed by the crew and a custom built arbour over the patio.« back to projects
