We use a local, cool-season coastal climate grass seed called Tall Fescue blend. Local sod growers prefer to use this blend because it grows taller, thicker, and with strong roots, making it more difficult for low-lying weeds to grow. This grass looks fantastic and grows well in Victoria, BC. 

We prefer not to cut this grass too short so that it retains more moisture and doesn’t dry out (and leave room for weeds and moss to grow in its place). This seed blend will help your grass grow healthy, thick, and strong so that you can avoid adding harmful weed-killing pesticides.
